Up & Rising

1st week of uni has passed. and now i hve 3 chapters of readings to do. worth 100pages. i’m not complaining. i just need to have the discipline to concentrate and understand the words i’m reading. right now, i’m reading word by word, not understandin the linguistics play of words. the meanings of the words tied in a string.

wad makes it worse is. the book, is penned by my lecturer. so if i really cant understand what he’s writing abt, god forbids. i’m so dead.

sigh. understand understand. a word so easy to type and say, but difficult to achieve.

do u get wad i mean? prolly u dun.? cuz meanings are afterall constructed. it may seems like i’m complaining and wincing abt nothings. but being not in my situation, some may not be able to comprehend my meaning, cuz we live (currently) in a diff place, absorbing different meanings, knowledges and realities. making our meanings, unnaturalised.

take for example, stone to us singaporeans, means-dazed out, momentarily. this is the meaning to us. but to one of another culture, it bags the meaning of drugged.

so, you u get my meaning now?

I wonder why?Uni has the uncanny ability to make me feel low.

my mood just get lower and lower as the days go by.

Somehow it doesnt helps that I have just a three-days school. i’m not complaining, i’m actually glad. like finally, in my 15 yrs of studies, 3-days school, it’sa first!

The down part is i hve to travel to ipswich,

mygod. theride was crazy shit. u see people, and i meanpeople clad with torn shirts and pant who looks like they have never bathe for ages. And,I’m not finish/… with long unwashed looking black grey-ish hair.

As we train goes further into the country, you see less and less buildings, houses, abit more of sheds. more n more alligator cars.

the up side is, you dun have to pay to be within distance of horses, sheeps, kangaroos.

my gawd. can i complain that the ride is frigging long. i’m not pampered u noe.

but at least,now it’s all over, with honda civic and a hole  in the pocket. it’s like sef induced guilt here. the only way, i can make myself feel better, is to study Damn hard.

more sooon. gotta eat!

Tomorrow, 24th July, marks the start of Uni, yet again. The Sem 2. Just a year ago, I was moving to Warren Street, unpacking, uncertain about what tomorrow will bring. I can’t say I dun feel the same way for tomorrow.

Start red. with confidence

But, as like every start of a new sem,I promise to start with a smile, and so, no negativity. zilch!

Hope tomorrow will be good and fun. Meet some nice (nice, i mean will share knowledge and help me) people and nice (approachable, give good tips, give assignment and exams answers) lecturers with their nice (easy enough for me to get full marks) assignments and exam packages.

Oh ya, I want an internship position related to communication(.e.g. Marcomm, corporate comm, marketing) in any country. Please lemme know if you know of any.

so i managed to get my learner licence

WAD A RELIEF!!!!!! I spent so much at that money milkin place!!! i’m so relieved.

my photo looks so relieved too rite. lol

celebrated cindy’s bday at her hse as well. had to decorate up the whole place, it was nothing but fun. Hope she loves all her gifts. we got her a coffee-machine since she a coffee-addict. Ven and me had so much fun makin coffee and all. I still rem how to makecoffee and milk froth. SO proud of myself. LOL. oh. and Knox made a photo frame which consists of 4 of his solo pic(WTH?LOL), and 2 pics with cin, and a LV diary. Florence got her a photo frame and another swaroski bracelet, gorgeous string of crystal!

We had steamboat, taiwanese style. it goes like this.

you are supp to dip the food (alr cooked in steamboat) in a sauce, that’s made of

• raw egg
• sesame oil
• light soy sauce
• chinese BBQ sauce(not master food and the likes)

It’s uniquely nice. frankly, i didnt know there’s diff style of steamboat.. hmmm.. so many interesting things to learn.

AND! I took a ride on Knox’s Honda Moped. man. it’s the first time i’m riding on a bike! so fun! adrenalin rush man. even tho i was ridin at 10km/h. hahahah

apparently, you dun need a motobike licence to ride a 50cc bike here.A normal car licence will do.

talking abt tt,

I drove a car last week too. Was testing the toyota paseo. the exterior was really good.just that the steering wheel was really loose, kept swerving to the left, n the car was really low. sigh. too bad. at least i save like 8k?

And yea. driving the car was fun! hee. even tho i was driving at a mere speed of 10km/h. and i literally slow down n stop to wait for a bird to cross the road. i’m sucha good driver. how can i not pass the learner? hahahahahah
yala. i’m cheap thrill and scared of roads. i’m still happy. HEHEHHEEHeehe

looking forward to another bday celebration. hahahah

And today, I finally bought my boots! original price at $180! I didnt know until i was on my way home!

and I bought clutch bag and a necklace. felt so bad. I should study really hard next sem. I do nothing but spend money. I’m a bad daughter. maybe i shld get a job. I like the bubble tea is teabar. heee

gotta go check out hair colors. have a hair appointment tml.
